Saide Aranzazu Salazar-Altamirano
Aranzazu is a member of CNBV's economic research team, currently designing and conducting a nationwide survey aimed at identifying financing and competitiveness factors affecting an important segment of private enterprises in Mexico.
Her research interests focus on the impact of financial savings on economic growth, potential crowding out of private financing by public debt, and the analysis of credit constraints faced by private firms. Before joining CNBV, Aranzazu held various positions as a researcher in the Public Sector, studying the impact of banking infrastructure on manufacturing production in Mexican municipalities and U.S. counties, and participating in the evaluation of microfinance government programs. She has also been involved in the analysis of the energy sector in Mexico.
Aranzazu holds a B.A. in Economics from CIDE (Mexico), and an MSc. in Economics from El Colegio de Mexico (Mexico).
